From the archeological museum in Knosos which has amazing artifacts from the digs that revealed the Palace where the Minotaur roamed. Our guide was terrific both at the site and at the museum and we loved what we were seeing, but it was a lot! At the time I took this photo, it was nearing 3:00 -- we were supposed to have met some faculty for lunch at 1:30, and hadn't eaten since 7:00 a.m. We'd been on our feet most of the time since our arrival. I loved how Bill and Junko @jyokota were sitting -- they conveyed how we were all feeling at that point. Posted with permission, btw.
The street theme this week made me think of this, but taken too early to tag for it.
Lovely shot, but they look worn out. Hopefully you have all got a good nights sleep now.
So much history in this part of the world. We were given a stone age axe head by our neighbour when we lived in a village in Cyprus. Unfortunately we couldn't keep it because we weren't allowed to remove it from the country.
How sweet is this? :) A picture is worth a thousand words and this one just describes "tired travelers" perfectly. I like how they are seated in the center, no distractions and are leaning in, companionably, towards each other.
