We were hosted for quite an bountiful traditional Cretan dinner last night with food that was continually served from about 9:00 til 11:00. Everything was delicious and the event was quite festive, sitting in a courtyard of the restaurant as the day came to an end. Junko @jyokota and I walked over early to the old town area so we could photograph at the blue hour. We weren't disappointed.
Here's Junko's shot from a low POV of the rocks to the right in this photo: http://365project.org/jyokota/365/2015-05-23
You two must have had a ball - always looking for good photographs but still enjoying the company! Being in the northern hemisphere it would be a lot lighter at this time of day!
Beautiful colors. I've been there! So nice to see it again in pictures! I am going to Crete again in the summer, your pictures make me anticipate it even more.

Finally -- a water shot for our theme this month! It was getting ridiculous that surrounded by water, I had no photos!
Looks fabulous against the black taffy. I've no time for photography this weekend, but surrounded by water ( or fluids to be more precise..... Of the small bodily child type) as attempting to potty train.... I'd rather be somewhere as beautiful as this though!
Beautiful. Fav!! 😃 You've made me feel quite envious, wish I was going back soon. It's a few years since I was there, for the wedding of my son-in-law's sister. These days I have to go to Kos, where Rosie and her husband, George, live. It's a lovely island but doesn't have the appeal of Crete.
@taffy Lovely shot Taffy!! Beautiful reflection!! Sounds like they are looking after you very well!! Gorgeous blue!! It feels warm just looking at this shot!!
The light and colors are so lovely... what a super day you two must have had! The textures in the bricks are so interesting, compared to the serene liquid blues of the water. I like how the shore and harbor curves around on the right, too. And then... dinner! :)
I love how you composed this -- so much more than my closeup which was a vertical to get the details of the lighthouse that has patterns in it. I think I'll post a different one.
