Lucky day today - beautiful skies filled with clouds so tons of new photos to work on (in addition to all the ones still to do from Greece), and a 'date' with Jim to the Blackhawks game 6 (because his son couldn't go...I was second choice). The game was a 'must win' and we did (more photos to work on), and when we went out for dinner on the way to the game, I came across this graffiti (it used to be a fox -- suddenly this new one appeared) with this very cooperative fellow walking by at the right eye level. For three themes -- 2 related to street and one six word story (assume uh-oh counts as one word?).
I'm enjoying catching up! Glad you liked the photo of my tired travel companions and the planescape leaving Crete.
(Less than) Great Chicago Fire Update (no need to read further -- just a marker for me):
1. wall painting has begun
2. bathroom cabinets have arrived to be installed
3. found glass person to do balcony 'railing' and shower door
4. went to storage facility and selected several items to donate (who needs 4 drawer file cabinets in the digital age?) which means we have less stuff moving in. Rule from storage room: if it hasn't been opened since our move here 14 years ago, we don't need it.
5. Still looks like there is a lot left to do, including selecting items (sink, countertops, lighting).
6. Target date for move: June 30. June 9 is 7 month anniversary since fire.
7. Prediction: it won't happen then
I can't believe it has been that long. I was thinking you would be all moved in and settled by now. Good luck on the move. I see you still have your sense of humor with you!
