Front Line Infantry by taffy

Front Line Infantry

This is where the farmer was digging a well (just to the right of the wood columns) and discovered pieces of the figures in 1974. It turned out there were three main sections of army related figures designed to protect Qin Shi Huang, first emperor of China, in his after life. A fourth area is thought to have housed representative figurines for family member/concubines, etc. Taken with DSLR and unfortunately slow lens which meant it was harder getting a tack sharp image.

Incredible to think these artefacts are so old and still in this condition. Like @julzmaioro it's very difficult for Aussies, other than our indigenous inhabitants, to imagine things so ancient. Fabulous shot, I rather like the softness you mention, adds to the effect of the spectacle.
