This is the downstairs area of the new night market building. It's basically a food court, but the sad thing is that it's for more "normal" food, not the traditional and special snacks that make up the night market.
I used to work at a school in this night market, and I remember the good and the bad of dinner time trying to decide what to eat from the sea of food. I remember working with other teachers to get different snacks and then meet up and share our treasures. I even remember the times when students would be shocked that we had never had some very disgusting traditional food, and then run down to buy it and force us to eat it.
I then remember moving to this area years later. The joy the night market gave me when i was feeling bored with my food choices. I could always walk a few extra minutes to get to the night market and have many choices. Although I had a rule that i could only go to the night market before 5pm or after 11pm, because in between that time it was just too crowded.
