This evening I went back to Danshui, a small town at the north end of the subway line. I lived there for about two years maybe four or more years ago. This was one of the few times I've been back as it's a bit far, and can be extremely crowded on weekends and holidays.
Over the next few days I'll be posting pictures of my trip. the usual dark and can't see anything pictures. I really do need to start going places in the day time. I can say that on this short visit I was taking out my phone more and more to take pictures, and going out of my way to go take a picture of something I want to write about. So perhaps this will lead to me actually using a real camera one day? (hint: i will never do that).
Anyway this is a picture of a japanese restaurant i really like close to my old apartment. As soon as I entered the restaurant i let out a gasp. The reason being that when I used to eat there a lot, the owner's little daughter would help out around the restaurant, but now she was much taller. it was quite shocking to see what basically to me was a blink of an eye, this tiny child tripled in size.
To be honest it was a little creepy. I have a habit of always picturing people as when i first ever saw them. so in my mind she is the little girl who was shorter than the tables, and was so shy that she would give the food to the customers and run away back to her desk and color. now she is wearing make up and wearing extremely short shorts. It's unsettling.
