I was startled enough to see a speed skating rink in a park, then i was extra surprised when one weekend day I saw a group of people speed skating together. they all seemed like some sort of skating club. They were quite good at it, and they forced my friend to comment "wow they are elegant."
I tried to get her to talk to one of them so that she could make a new friend. Of course not hiding any hidden plan to find out where they rent the skates. I definitely would like to try this, so I guess that means going back on a weekend to ask somebody where they rent the skates. The going back on my own on a weekday so nobody can see my trying to do it. Granted I can skate, but I've never tried speed skates on a speed skating circle.
