Maturity

I'm not one of those people who says that having a dog is like having a child. Having a dog is so much trouble and stress that I don't envy those people who have children. However if I may, there is one way in which having children is not as bad. Children grow up and can take care of themselves, while dogs require the same amount of care their whole lives. Granted the care a dog needs can't compare to that of a young child, but a ten year old kid, that's a different story. I don't know about you, but when I was ten years old I already had a high paying job on Wall Street and was doing blow off of prostitutes. (Sounds like a great movie idea. There a joke to be made that incorporates Wall Street and Sesame Street, but I can't find it).

Thankfully dogs do mature albeit not as dramatically. My dog no longer has a penchant for destroying anything that is hip level and below. granted she didn't so this often, but if something was that low, it was in a lawless land where every night could be it's last.

Nowadays she no longer does this. Recently there was a big test and she passed with flying colors. A friend is in Taiwan for vacation and is crashing here for a few nights. As you can see she left a lot of her things on the ground, in that no man's land. However my dog hasn't paid it any attention. Which is in contrast to a few years back when a friend from American left her suitcase on the floor (zipped up) and when everybody came back from a day out, it had been ransacked.

So yes great news that my dog has grown up a bit. I look forward to when she is able to feed herself, walk herself, and most importantly get to trading stocks online. That cocaine isn't going snort itself! (This is an even better movie idea, with a title that shows that bankers are being compared to dogs.
