Fall Freeze by taiwandaily

Fall Freeze

I believe they call it the "spring thaw" in america when the weather starts to warm up and women start to break out their summer wear. Clothes which hardly cover their body and show their ample body parts.

Needless to say this is not a phenomenon which occurs in Taiwan. As a large majority of Taiwanese women...."have the body of an 11 year old boy" as one foreigner put it. Its a harsh way to put it, but as we have talked about before, Taiwanese body types are about being as thin as possible, with no curves. I'll leave the judgements of if that is attractive or not, for you to make on your own.

Anyway, because of this, Taiwanese women don't like summer as they can't wear clothes which they feel summer clothing doesn't really match the standard body type here. Instead Taiwanese women love when the weather starts to cool down and they can wear all their stylish clothes, which display their....elegance (oh that will get me some points!).

The picture is of me and a friend on the bus on a rainy and cool day. The picture was originally to show how lucky it is to be a woman, that in the rain they get to wear nice big boots and guys only choices are get your shoes wet or just give up and wear flip flops. But seeing how happy my friend was to be able to finally be able to wear boots again, I went with with this post.
What is the word that the Taiwanese use for flip flop? This seems to be an American term that more describes the sound they make as opposed to the thing. Maybe they use sandal or open toed shoe?
