OCOLOY Day 224: Windfalls on the Kitchen Counter

I have a feeling that 'Objects on the Kitchen Counter' could well become one of my 'Occasional Series'... tonight the 'object' on the kitchen counter is three small windfall apples that Mrs S picked up whilst gardening in the orchard.

As usual, the image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile. And, also as usual, it is best viewed on black.

Based on this sample, 'mellow fruitfulness' seems most unlikely. The middle apple is the odd one out. No visible hole!
