Brighton is home to some of the most affluent but also some of the most deprived areas in England. Often these areas of affluence and poverty are side by side. It's not for nothing that "Private Eye" (a UK satirical magazine) refers to Brighton as Skidrow-on-Sea.
@ludwigsdiana You would be amazed Diana. Property in Brighton, whether for rent or sale, is incredibly expensive and often matches London prices. Although this place may be asking for less than the market rate, there are enough people in desperate straits (homeless/unemployed/minimum wage) that they will take what little is available if it qualifies as a roof over their head. It is unlikely to be available for very long :(
