At the moment my camera is taking a little vacation at the Canon Repair Center in New Jersey. It's been playing silly beggars for weeks, and I've held off sending it in, but I'm not too sure when the warranty runs out, so I thought I'd better bite the bullet and just do it. I'm around, and will be around properly in a week or so with a rejuvenated well rested can't wait to get back to it's usual snappy exposing self camera :-)

@adamj snappy exposing self would be the camera lolol @mzzhope sorry about your loss of power. The longest I've been without is 2 days after Irene....it was a long 2 days. Hang in there :-)
@jroda thanks Jennifer......I feel more lost without it than I was expecting, although my son is happy that I'm not chasing him around with it, along with "just 5 minutes Aaron" :-) lol
@friend2303 it's not supposed to take more than 7 business days, so hopefully will have it back soon :-) @kosznai lololol :D @richardcreese thanks Richard :-) @humphreyhippo it is worth it because these things aren't cheap, and you know if there's something not quite right. On the positive, I've just got some neutral density filters.....I'm so excited about them (sad I know) and can't wait to try them out once the camera gets a clean bill of health :-) @derekvickers thank you so much Derek....very much appreciated :-)
@bluefirebucket thanks Mick.....not quite. Canon have a camera body and a lens, and they emailed me two estimates for the items yesterday.....$193.00 for the lens, and $223.00 for the body.....we got it sorted out....there is no charge, so hopefully I should have it back in the next couple of days :-)

@ishutter I should have the camera back soon......hopefully next week :-)
I had to send my 7D back under warranty. It was a pain, but worth it in the end.
