On Saturday I went to get my eyebrows waxed. Well I'm not sure if they used a different wax, or my skin has become more sensitive, but the skin underneath my eyebrows has been driving me nuts ever since....sooooo itchy, and to make it worse, last night, the skin started coming out in bumps.....very pretty! So I think next time I go the salon, I'm going to mention it and see if they can tweezer them instead, the alternative being I walk around like Denis Healey....not going to happen lol
The photo has nothing to do with eyebrows, but I thought they looked pretty, and it's snowing again!!!

@vega I'm not sure.......I usually go every couple of months and get them done, and never had a reaction (well only a little bit of itchiness) but your skin changes. This morning I went to the pharmacy wearing sunglasses and it was snowing lol
Hope you get better & it never happens again! :) Beautiful flowers & really love the softness of your photos, gives them a special mood. Sorry that you fell out of the nature collage challenge - you were my other collage choice!
It certainly is snowing again. The flakes are HUGE!!! I want to go out and take pictures, but I am not fond of the cold! lol The flowers are beautiful, and I love the processing used! Oh, and I stopped waxing and started getting threading done⦠I love it! :)
@lauramalone82 thank you Laura :-) @dandelionmama the snow is nearly piled as high as my mailbox, and I was debating whether or not to go outside, but I'm so warm and toasty lol I'll definitely look into the threading......I've heard good things about it. Thanks Shandy....stay warm :-)
@kwind thank you....I may eventually resort to that :-) @humphreyhippo my sister is a pharmacy dispenser, and she also suggested E45, but you can't get it over here, so I've been dabbing away with witch hazel, which seems to be helping, until the next itching fit ;-) Unfortunately I bought the roses......sad I know :-)
Sorry to hear that your waxing caused you problems. At least it is a warning as to what could happen if you go for [ahem!] other areas to be waxed. That would be much more uncomfortable.
Lovely shot, Allison! Such pretty colors and soft processing. So sorry about your brows. I had a waxing disaster once with peeling skin and open sores. I always request tweezers now.
@steampowered hahaha now some things just don't bear thinking about......thanks Paul :-) @sierranicole423 it is odd, especially as I've never had a problem before. Thanks Sierra :-)
they do look pretty (I am talking about the roses seeing that I cannot see your eyebrows of course ;-p joking...hope they get better soon!). love the warm mood in this shot! :)
@jpgiorgio hahaha the roses are pretty, as for the eyebrows haha...scary! Thanks JP......hope you're feeling 100% now :-) @wenbow thank you so much Wendy :-) @lyndemc you're welcome, it was a gorgeous capture :-)
That doesn't sound good at all. Lucky for Aaron that he kicked you into the long grass for another valentine ;-) I hope all is well soon. Lovely watercolour qualities in this shot. You are fabulous at this type of shot, big fav.
@seanoneill lol yes thankfully he had the foresight to do that....it would have happened once he saw the eyebrows anyway ;-) lol Thank you so much Sean.......hope the weather's improving....just a little? :-) @happysnap thank you so much Linda :-) I think I will try threading next time :-)
@seanoneill I'm glad to hear the sunshine paid you a visit and it's getting a little better. It's going to start warming here over the next few days...it needs to as we had another snowstorm today.....I will never complain about how hot it gets in Summer, well I may, but not out loud ;-)
I like the way you've processed this, Allison. Especially when I see the contrast to the monochrome version posted today. They are both really stunning shots, with wonderfully different takes on the same subject.
Such beautiful flowers and a stunning capture! Hope your eyebrows have now returned to normal. Bought a cheapish foundation a few months back and within two days came in huge rashes across my face! Not the same but know how you feel :-)
Lovely dof Allison and I like how the processing makes the petals jump out.
Eyebrows.........I've heard other middle aged women complaining that their skin started to go funny as they got older ;)
I hope by now your eyebrows are better and looking as lovely as your roses in this stunning photo. Another fav-alicious photo for me.
Nature plays very mean tricks on us as we get older! Luckily one of them is worsening eyesight, so there comes a point when you can't see what madness is going on, which is a good thing :0)
@cazann thank you Caz...thankfully back to normal, although not sure that's a good thing :-) @hh lolol so true!!!! At least the worsening eyesight spares us the embarrassment of seeing hairs pop up in places where there really should not be hairs lol :-) On that cheery note, thank you Kate.....hope your weekend is off to a lovely start :-)
