What a wonderful gift children are. Youngest son has always been enthralled with nature and his interest opened our eyes to the beauty of all the creepy-crawlies we have in the yard. Among his favorites are garter snakes, so I am always careful to keep an eye out when mowing to be sure they are safely away from the blades. Walking through the yard this morning I noticed these two having a bit of a get together and couldn't resist the colorful play of lines they made. No time for much of a set-up for as soon as my attention was noticed they quickly parted before I could get more than one or two shots. I have no doubt they will have another rendezvous now that I'm back in the house.
