I grew up in a house filled with sunlight from south and west windows, the sills upon which my mother placed her cut glass so that the rooms danced with little rainbows. I live in a house with east and north facing windows which provide little opportunity for the enjoyment of crystal rainbows. I do have two precious south windows, though, and I've placed a crystal in one that fills that room with bits of those treasured rainbows from my childhood. I've tried to photograph them before, but they are actually quite boring. Today they were dancing across a bit of crumpled tin foil, giving the colors a bit of texture and glow.
