Today was my father's 89th birthday. The past year brought unexpected challenges and limitations, but he is still with us and despite the hardships each day is a blessing. When we sang only one verse of "Happy Birthday" he requested the second verse of "We Wish You Many More." Yes, we do. Here's to 90!
This is very special, I wish I had such a photo of my father's hands but sadly he passed away 5 years back. I'm sure you will teasure this image, and many happy returns to your Dad.
I have to fave this because my father is getting to be like this too (and Mum even more so). It is a challenge, not the least of which being that both Dad and Mum won't take advice and don't want anyone to bother but it is right now that they need all the help they can get and for family and friends to get involved. I know what you are going through.
