A technically awful photo, but I just had to share it anyway. We had heard there was a Golden Eagle's nest out in the country and it was amazing to actually find it! It was quite far away (this is an extreme crop) and we waited for a couple of hours in our car for the other parent to come in with supper, but it never did. The sun came out only for a moment here or there (hence the appropriately golden tones) and the babies popped up only briefly but what a treat to observe them! We'll try again soon for some better shots...
What a stunning capture, Jenn. I'm so impressed by how clear it is, and with that big lens. And that that little one is giving you the eagle eye, which his momm has clearly taught him already.
Oh wow, what an amazing thing to find and witness! I love the location of the mom/dad, sort of hiding but there watching. I didn't see it initially. Very cool!
Nice one J. I'm soooo jealous of that 400mm prime lens! I think this came out great considering how far we were from these little fuz-buckets.
