The woods are full of fairies!
The trees are alive:
The river overflows with them.
See how they dip and dive!
What funny little fellows!
What dainty little dears!
They dance and leap, and prance and peep,
And utter fairy cheers! http://www.love-of-poems.com
This dear little house is nestled in a hidden corner of the garden.
Every school should have a garden! It provides so much for the students--science in action, respect for nature, a place to read and draw, inspiration for writing, opportunities to compost and care for plants, a chance to grow crops, a home for birds, the list is endless.
Nice photo, Allison. I checked this out a few weeks ago but now it is looking much better with some greenery around it.
Regarding Annapolis, nope, didn't know about Heather's parents having a place there. Guess it really doesn't matter as I doubt they would want me to stop in for a visit since I've never met them! lol
Allison i like your own comment about the school having a garden. i have never seen anything like this here where we live. it is such a wonderful idea. i tell you what we have it might be of interest to you. the RCMP - Royal Canadian Mounted Police- have a project in one of our national parks here where they donated money for building a small Community Safety Village made out of 32 small houses. companies where invited to buy a plot and have a house built there representing a store or Tim Horton's for instance has a coffee shop there then there a Fire Hall, and McDonald's, a Church, etc... the village has stop signs at the streets, safety crossings, railway crossing and a train runs through the complex etc etc. my husband was lucky as he was picked out of quite a few contractors to built these houses and was given a free hand in what he thought was going to work best. he and his partner worked there for a good year and when all was finished he received a plaque for excellent workmanship . this gives me an idea of a nice collage in the future maybe. The village is called "The Safety Village"" where all school children are being bussed to attend a safety course. it i situated in a national park called "The Bruce's Trail" i will go into more details when i upload a collage.
I love this! My little sister and I were fascinated with fairies as little kids. I can't wait to pass the love for it to my own daughter (who already owns fairy wings).
