Purple prose, according to Wikipedia, is a term of literary criticism used to describe passages written in prose so overly extravagant, ornate, or flowery as to break the flow and draw attention to itself.
It would be more accurate to describe today's photo as Purple Books but that's not extravagant, ornate, or flowery enough to suit the occasion.
As a librarian I was on a mission to find books to illustrate the purple theme. The ones I chose are not only pretty to look at but great to read!
When I saw your thumbnail picture my ind that she's a librarian lots of opportunities for purple pictures and there you are the other one as well..the fish..both are great for the theme.
Gosh, no matter the color, you could find books for the theme! And re your response to my camera quest....I want to thank you for the suggestion. I looked at the S95 and read David Pogue's article...it has gotten excellent reviews everywhere, but it only has a 3.8x optical zoom and more features than I would probably ever use so I crossed the S95 off my list. ...a great camera but probably not the best one for me.
I bought that top for her when I was in Germany and forgot to give it to her. when she tried it on I thought what a coincidence I still need a picture for this theme. she is growing into a fine your lady.
