When looking around the library for something blue for this week's theme, this chess trophy naturally stood out. The trophies are so tall they won't fit in a display case, so they are housed in the 2-story reference area of the library. Since the members of the chess team are all primary grade students, the trophy is actually taller than some of the players!
Allison, living in the city for many years, I miss living in the country where I grew up,and I am so glad to have the 45 minute drive through the country side so I can enjoy the view.
That's so cool! I've always wanted to learn to play chess, but I'm just plain bad at it. My husband learned young, and he's pretty good. He's tried to teach me a few times, but I always end up getting destroyed.
