Karen (@hwy61) and i took part in the World Wide Photo Walk this morning. Our local walk was through a picturesque little neighborhood of Richmond called Carytown. I've actually taken many pictures in this area, including a collage last summer. Anyway this is my favorite, despite the fact that it creates a mood very different from the usual cheery Saturday morning shopping experience.
I love art walks. We have one every first Friday of th emonth here in my hometown. this year I did not participate, but I am thinking about doing it next year, if I find the time.
@digitalrn I agree that art walks are fun. Today however was a photo walk with everyone but Karen and I equipped with massive DSLRs complete with tripods, filters, immense lenses and stuff I couldn't even identify.
That looked like an interesting event to participate in. And it looks like all the gadgetry is fine, but you don't always need it to take an excellent shot. Good catch!
@sassyinthecity@bruni Here's what the store website says: We started in 1996, selling a unique collection of vintage Levi’s. And over the past decade our selection has evolved from an eclectic mix of hard-to-find vintage apparel to a well-edited selection of premium street wear and contemporary brands with a focus on denim. Nylon Magazine named us one of the 100 best denim stores in the world and Richmond Magazine calls us “the best place to buy premium denim
And you knew this would be your shot for the day. I am still so uninspired by my photos that I can't bring myself to choose one yet and so mine will be a late posting.
wow allison, this is stunning, if i hadn't read your narrative, i'd have said .......a very urban and gritty, inner city image.....it just goes to show how easy it is to make pre judgements when we don't have all the facts ....i think it's the youth in the hoddie that makes us pre judge the image
