Broad Street, Richmond, Sunday

Running errands this afternoon, John and I stopped so I could take pictures of this abandoned Sears department store. About 50 years ago this section of Broad Street was a bustling center of commerce Now the area has become rather seedy, and this store has been empty for about 30 years. Someone is apparently paying the taxes and keeping it from total decay, and with a little sepia processing, you can imagine yourself back in the mid-sixties when all the city busses stopped at Sears.
Nice capture.

Nice shot. It does make me think of the 60's.

Beautiful capture and love it in sepia! Sears used to be such a wonderful place to shop.

you do not often hear of a Sears going out. I hate to see it.

Looks like a ghost town that once was bustling with activity. How sad. The sepia tones are perfect for depicting the abandoned look. Good job.
