Today (the 12th) was my birthday, and my friends and family treated me royally. Here is a gift my library colleague has been saving for me since she ordered it in June. On the right is jam from Buckingham Palace and on the left, a beautiful tin of tea commemorating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. I think I'll have to make scones to really celebrate!
@olivetreeann The background is a tea towel commemorating Kate and Will's wedding. It was given to me at the time of the wedding, by the same friend who just gave me these royal souvenirs. She also gave me a new biography of Queen ElizabethII. We are not-so-secret monarchists!
