A number of us from my school spent the day in downtown Richmond attending the VAIS (Virginia Association of Independent Schools) annual conference. The two people you see on the right are my library colleague Susan and our technology guru Frank. We were particularly interested in attending sessions on implementing STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs in a Lower School. We also went to a workshop on using all kinds of great apps and websites in a Lower School library. We came away with lots of ideas and inspiration. It was also a treat to have lunch with other school librarians in the area.
