That is the collective years of experience of these ten master teachers who were honored at an all-school meeting this morning. They are all retiring at the end of the school year but the school head (at the right) thought their contribution to the life of the school should be acknowledged before the year ended. All disciplines and school divisions are represented including the arts, history, math, English, athletics and science. Each was introduced with a photo backdrop, including the year he or she began teaching. The final teacher introduced was Mrs. Stultz who has taught science to third and fourth graders in the Lower School since 1968. And she, along with every teacher on the stage, has maintained her curiosity and love of learning since that very first year.
I've always enjoyed reading your captions about your school...it must be an exceptional one! How lucky the students are to have such marvelous and dedicated teachers!
