Sarah spent one morning last week cleaning up her school garden with a group of volunteers. Everyone got to bring home some produce and Sarah chose some not-yet-ripe tomatoes. When she got home, she went into Southern cooking mode and cooked up a mess of fried green tomatoes. They were so good that we ate them, piping hot, while we stood there in the kitchen!
Your presentation of the fried green tomatoes make my mouth water. Sarah fried them to a nice golden brown and I bet they were very tasty. I'll make sure to try it out (for the first time) when our garden tomatoes are ready.
Oh I LOVE them......now you have me hankering for some for breakfast and all I have are red tomatoes. Well, maybe I'll just try the red after seeing that Rick (above) said they were good, too. Great food shot!
