Dixie Doughnuts, a very popular local treat, are sold in a former gas station. I couldn't pass up this image immortalized in cartoons and stories. Of course this policeman looks very trim and seems to be oblivious to the doughnuts, but who knows what may happen if he begins to feel the pangs of hunger. Note also the wall painting on the next block. Not a major work of art, but still fun.
The myth that all policeman like donuts, started when their cars were seen at doughnut shops. This was because the police officers needed phones to call in reports and a clean bathroom during their shifts, and the doughnut shops, were the only one open late, or the employees were in there baking for the next morning. So when people saw their cars their, this myth was born. With that being said, many of then like those places way too much. LOL. Perfect angle on the shot, I like the bicycle in there also.
