Rather than post a picture of this 555 foot tall monument as it is typically photographed, I thought I'd try for a little different view. I took so many photos, I plan to share a few more in the next few days.
My favorite obelisk! So many stories of this monument, can't hardly go to Washington D.C. and NOT get like a 100 of this monument alone! Have you read Dan Browns "The Lost Symbol?" Great story. I like this angle. Its definately NOT the typical :-)
please share Allison! i like this one. One thing i've learned from a "how to photograph book" is : Try to photograph a monument in a different way, if you want a hole picture, buy a post card... (oopps hope it means something hard to tell in English!). Hope you're having a great time in DC, it's a great city too!
