Can't Take the Cold

Central Virginia does not have the climate for cacti but if you find a sheltered spot, such as against the brick wall you might get them to survive. This winter has been a tough one even for the plants indigenous to our region, This cactus has apparently thrown in the towel. Maybe it will regain its starch when warm weather returns but I'm not harboring any illusions.
Poor thing! I don't blame it for being all droopy... this winter has been enough to make even the heartiest amongst us a little droopy sometimes!

Yeah, they look a bit weathered. Perhaps a heat lamp or a solar panel?

Sad, but maybe they will come back. I hope so. It looks like it was once a great plant.

probably if you cut off one of the paddles and save it until it gets warm, and then plant it you can restart from that.

I didn't think anything could kill a cacti, must be darn cold where you are
