Morning Has Broken

When I stepped outside this morning the sun was just rising above the horizon. It was a beautiful blood red but the sky was spoiled by a tangle of telephone wires. I kept my eye on the path of the sunrise as I drove west, checking regularly in my rearview mirror . When I got to school and was ready to finally get my shot without powerlines, I was disappointed to see the sun had shifted from red to a more conventional yellow. I documented it anyway but the picture doesn't hold a candle to my memory.

Is it me or is there a few song titles / lines in the comments on this thread..'Morning has broken' , 'Here Come's the Sun', 'Memory'.....We have a popular / Australian broadcaster in the UK known as Rolf Harris who did a song 'Sun Arise' years and years ago !!!

If you do a sunset photo next, we could sing 'sunrise sunset' from the musical fiddler on the roof !!

I like this shot because it looks like it was taken at the perfect time through the trees. It appears that the limbs just made a little circle so we could see it.

Nice with all the trees. Next time take one with the power lines too, you might be surprised when you look at it later.

Nice light coming through. I am always amazed at how quickly the sun rises/falls and sometimes I miss a shot before I realize it.
