Usually our book club meets after school in Holly's art room, but this month we had a special treat. At our school's annual auction Jill, (upper left) bid and won multiple copies of a book written by a local author. The book "The Outer Banks House" is a debut novel and great fun to read, especially if you have spent any time on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Part of the pleasure of this month's meeting was a visit by the author! Diann Ducharme (seated, with the arrow pointing at her) shared stories about the writing of the book and the process of getting it published. We were excited to learn she is hard at work on a sequel.
