One of the Wednesday afternoon enrichment activities for Fourth graders at my school is a semester-long club in programming Lego robots. Working in pairs, the kids (mostly boys, if the truth be known) use a computer program to design a series of moves, including turns and figure 8's. It's pretty impressive to watch and the programmers are understandably proud of their accomplishments.
