A local author came to our reading enrichment camp today to share her books and talk about the writing process. Ginjer Clarke is the author of lively fact-filled beginner readers about unusual animals. Most of them are part of Grosset & Dunlap’s All Aboard Science Reader series.
Ginjer did a great job capturing the interest of even the 4th graders as she described the steps in creating a story and getting it published. She provided a story starter which her audience used to create stories of their own. She also encouraged the kids who had questions to leave comments on her website http://www.ginjerclarkebooks.com/ which she promised to answer.
