It's that time of year when we have to submit budget requests. We have two accounts, one for books and magazines and the various expenses related to their maintenance, and the second is for non-print media, including all audio-visual equipment and online resources and subscriptions. It is a fine juggling act, continuing to support our excellent book collection but being mindful of the increasing presence of digital resources. Fortunately our school is extremely supportive of the library program and recognizes how vital a library is to the health of a school.
I'm sure you do an excellent job and have a good sense on what to spend money on and what not to. But I'm sure it takes a lot of thought to come to the best decision!
