Boiled Not Roasted

This must be an acquired taste. Boiled peanuts are nothing like the popular ball park treat. They must be refrigerated and as a result they are cold and spongy. I put my hand on a bag and almost recoiled. Apparently the perfect pairing is with a frosty bottle of Coca Cola.

OK...I've tried them in a Southern restaurant in Chicago...not quite to my taste, but loved that the food was authentic!
