A few days before Spring Break, I had a nice conversation with a library volunteer who told me she and her family were going to visit her brother in Blue Grass, Virginia and, while there, attend a maple syrup festival. We talked about how different pure maple syrup is from the cane syrup blend which is sold in most grocery stores. Today Julie stopped by the library and dropped off my own jug of pure Virginia maple syrup! I couldn't wait for the week end to try it; I had to make pancakes for supper! And just as I had hoped, the syrup was nectar of the gods.
BTW, my choice of picture frame is a wood that I like to think is maple.
My mouth is watering. Wonderful presentation with the maple wood frame. As a child, I used to love going to the annual maple syrup festivals in Chardon, Ohio every year. You sure brought back some old fond memories!
