Food for the Gods

This evening my colleague Susan and I hosted a visiting author for a delightful dinner at Can Can Brasserie, a French restaurant in Carytown. Three other teachers came along to get to know children's book author Mac Barnett. He will be spending the day at school tomorrow, and I'm sure I'll have pictures to share. I took a chance on this dish, and now I have a new favorite. This is called Lobster Croque Monsieur. It is made of lobster salad, brioche, orange saffron bechamel and bouillabaisse sauce. Every bite was a surprise and all of it was delicious.
Whoa, that looks scrumptious
