Here is a local book store that specializes in rare books, and here is the introduction on the store website:
"One of the pleasures of the book business, aside from the books themselves, comes from meeting people in our shop, talking with fellow book lovers, introducing them to our new acquisitions, answering questions they might have about books, and learning from them as well. We thought that selling online would be anonymous by comparison. How wrong we were! We have made friends with booklovers all over the world, and have developed relationships with customers who return to us again and again.
So we welcome you to Black Swan Books. If you walked in the door in Richmond, we would greet you with a friendly smile and encourage you to wander at will and ask if you have questions. It's the same online. We hope that you will explore our site just as if you were browsing in our store. Send us an email or pick up the phone if you have questions. We'll do our best to respond promptly. "
That made me think of our special community here at 365project.org. When I think of all the friends I have made online, it is hard to believe we have never met in person.
It sounds very welcoming, and I have often thought the same about our 365 community Allison. it's hard to believe how close you become to our on-line friends.
This shot is amazing and tells so much about your store. I envy you and those that live in your area that they have such a place to go find books and meet friendly people. As I read your description of your store I got an instant picture of the book store in "You've Got Mail". Have you seen that movie?? Wonderful shot, Allie.
