We visited the natural history museum at the University of Florida to study the fossils. Hard to believe these mastodons roamed where college students now hang out.
Natural History Museums are SO interesting! The Field Museum in Chicago is a long-time favorite of mine (since childhood when I'd visit my Grandmother in rural Illinois) so think of those memories you're giving your grand kids as well! They have the benefit of your wealth of knowledge as well!
