If I told you I took this picture in the school garden today, you might be picturing a great patch of melons in the raised beds. You would be only partially correct. I think it is going to be a melon, but in fact it was thriving in the compost pile. It reminds me of the old hymn, "Brighten the Corner Where You Are."
If I have misidentified this plant, I hope I can count on one of my gardening friends to set me straight!
