When I first spotted this tree with bare branches and these little orange fruit suspended here and there, I thought they were plastic pumpkins left over from Halloween. It was only after I drew closer that I realized they were persimmons. I had never seen persimmons in their natural state so I was pretty excited.
Cool shot, Allison. We saw them hanging on the bare branches of trees when we visited Venice years ago in the Autumn. I always think of Venice when I see persimmons. Rich image!
I am seeing persimmons all over the stores right now! We had them in California when I lived there but they were shaped differently. I tried a persimmon pudding and then never made anything from them again. Yours really does look like an ornament! Great perspective!
