One of the library clocks was not keeping time, and wouldn't you know it, it was the one we looked at the most. Someone came and took it away for repairs, and now I find myself frequently checking the time , even though I know there is no longer a clock there. My colleagues say they do the same thing. We are such creatures of habit.
