My first corsage was a fragrant gardenia on a wrist band. Inhaling the wonderful scent brings it all back. There are three gardenia bushes in bloom on the Upper School side of campus. I walked by today and was taken back in time.
First corsage for many of us, and for any of us who went on a date to a Kon Tiki restaurant, we'd order the bowl-sized drink with two straws and a gardenia floating in it! (I no longer recall the name of the drink!...perhaps some else will!)
