The restaurant Stella’s has a long and storied history in Richmond before finally settling in its current location in the little shopping district on Lafayette Street in our neighborhood. Then as other business owners retired, the owners of Stella’s added properties across the street to open a specialty grocery store with an expanded wine department. The last building they have bought is the former Lafayette pharmacy next door which has all sorts of potential. They may have to rename the district Stella Street.
