The floods are out and there has been a lot of damage in the area but we are lucky here so far as the river is still just within its banks; it has flooded further down stream. In the nearest town however (Mansfield) there has been a mudslide and people have had to leave their homes.
@shutterbug49 I think we are okay as we are quite a lot above the water level but a lady has been drowned not many miles from here. The river level seems to be dropping slightly now so hoping that there will be no more tragedies.
