Bean Bingo, Ballons and Bubbles

This has been the longest short week. I've worked every day for the past 4 days and am absolutely exhausted. Was scheduled for 12 more hours than my max amount I'm willing to work and told them I had to lose a day. They took off my tomorrow shift and then yesterday I was asked to work tomorrow.
I said NO!

This morning, Emily said, "Mom, you never do photography anymore and it makes me sad!" Strange because so often I'd get complaints from doing it too much.

There was an active shooter and 4 were killed yesterday in my town. What a sad day, what a sad place this world has become. Praying for my city and for peace on earth. Come Lord Jesus!

Off to work again!!!
Nice candid photo.

I’m glad you said you couldn’t work, you have to take care of yourself. This looks like a fun festival.

Your daughter recognizes what keeps you sane.
I don't know why I thought that we'd be spared what is happening around us. This was a club I did not want to join.

You are hanging on better than I am Amanda and you have been on 365 a year longer. You caught a nice moment here

This is a great candid shot. I miss your photos too. However, I know that you are a busy mom who also works parttime...You have a lot on your plate.

You cut a wonderful family moment on your camera in sharp contrast to what’s happening in your city! One day at a time Amanda

So sorry about the loss of lives.

Amanda, I hope things settle down for you soon. Do you work at a hospital? I’m glad to know you are safe from the events of yesterday. Very sad indeed. And so scary.

@yogiw No, Sandy, I work in retail at Target. It's a part time mom job. Hours were light in the summer, only working 3-4 days a week, but this week I was scheduled 5 in a row. Not adjusted to getting up early with back to school and not accustomed to working so many days in a row. It's also a pretty active job. I do enjoy weight I've lost from moving so much, having a Target discount and getting a paycheck.

@alophoto I am tempted to do the same thing. My sister got a job at Kroger as a picker for their online grocery sales. She has lost a bunch of weight and has never felt better.

@grammyn I like what you said here. I felt guilty Thursday trying to post a pretty picture when so much was happening downtown. It’s a terrible thing but life has to go on or they win. 😕

@yogiw Do it:).

Look at the joy on their faces. That's what it's all about!

A sweet photo and fun title. I'm sorry to hear about the tragedy in your town. I try to avoid the news, if at all possible, which is sad in itself. I agree with Katy...one day at a time and look for the joy in that day ♥

A happy photo! I do think you have to put your foot down and let them know you have a limited time to work - family comes first -- maybe photography comes second?

no place is safe anymore, it's sad

Wonderful candid 👌💕

Oh no, shooting... killing... stay save!

I remember that incident. Maryland has had an active shooter incident today. While I’m out chasing little people with apples and paint, other people are losing their loved ones. The paradox kills me.

@shesnapped Oh no, that's awful. Sorry to hear that. Off to check news. I
