Red-bellied Woodpecker

Took this photo, and the one of the Cowbird yesterday, at the feeding station of a nature center in the area. Since you are inside behind glass, you can zoom in pretty close to the birds for photos, as long as the glass is clean and the light right. The birds are not captive, but like the free food.
So beautiful, very detailed.

A very nice shot you did well shooting from behind glass, some nice detail in this bird you how so many different woodpeckers in you part of the world. We only have three species of woodpecker in England.

@esox Interesting to hear. That makes me appreciate the woodpeckers more. And, they don't migrate, so we can see them all year. That helps when there aren't that many birds around in winter.

Great shot - wonderful places, nature preserves. Really gives you a chance to observe the birds and shoot without disturbing them. You got some nice detail here.
