I have a couple of weeks easier and then the rest of the month full on so I am going with the theme Things Aussie for this month - that way I can draw on images that I have when times get tough!
This week is Aussie fauna!
The Yellow-footed Rock-wallaby was once found throughout the semi-arid range country in South Australia (Gawler, Flinders and Olary Ranges), New South Wales (Gap and Cotauraundee Ranges) and south-west Queensland. However, following European settlement both the distribution and abundance of this species declined dramatically. It now occurs in small, often isolated colonies within its former range. It is listed as endangered in N.S.W and QLD.
Great close-up and info re this little beauty I am loving this informative guided tour you are giving us of your lovely native animals -- so much interesting knowledge gained here on 365 ! :)
