I'm pretty sure I've rocked the whole bokeh thing before - but today - when I needed it - do you think for the life of me I could figure out what I need to do....it took me half an hour of fluffing about and wandering and deleting and snapping - then I saw my lovely orchids had opened - well sh*t look at that - bokeh!

bokeh is just a fancy name for out of focus background,... the pretty circles are icing on the cake. "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light".
haha annie i had the same issue! i thought it would be the easiest day of the challenge, since i love shallow dof and bokeh and macro and all that jazz, but it was also escaping me until i came upon the candleholders that i used, and even then the bokeh is distinctly muted. weird! i just love both your orchid, and your bokeh. is the orchid outside??? we of course can never grow them outside - and i can't even grow them INside sadly

This is an elegant shot. What a gorgeous orchid! Huge fav for me. I feel fortunate that I got the bokeh shot that I did after listening to you photo gurus lament your bokeh troubles. Smile.
