................heading to the city
had not been on a train for......don't know how long......loved the ride and the sights and all that railway type stuff - plan more of it
Thanks for sharing this. I too love (or sometimes hate) train travel, but whatever the circumstances, whether looking forward to going somewhere nice or bored with waiting and wishing you didn't have to, the station platform is a rich hunting ground for candid camera snaps or just people-watching.
Robert Louis Stevenson may well have had a premonition of the not-yet-experienced daily commute to work when he wrote, (in Virginibus Puerisque, 1881) "Little do ye know your own blessedness; for to travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive, and the true success is to labour."
@wordpixman oh Arthur thank you so much for those wonderful words - you are truly amazing - I wish I was close enough to visit and meet you and hear some stories in person
@annied I like to say that I'm 5ft 4. I don't know where the "4" came from but I do like it. I have actually no idea what height I am, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the "4" HAHAHAHA
cars are so isolating. no trains right here, but when I lived in cities, yes, the people doing their things are endlessly fascinating. I didn't have a camera then though! Now I would be a menace
@francoise cars are isolating but people on transport are nowadays too - they all have plugs in their ears and are completely unaware of anything going on around them

Carry on travelling, Annie!
thank you kindly man
@taffy thank you so much Taffy :)
